Terms of Service
The short version. Weekend is for adults (18+) to plan outings with friends, family and partners, and to join others going to the same thing. Be honest about who you are, treat people well, and only post what is yours to post. You are responsible for your own safety when you meet people. We can remove content or accounts that break these rules. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
1. Who we are
Weekend (“Weekend”, “we”, “us”) is operated by OddLogic Digital (Udyam registration UDYAM-KL-12-0150942), a business registered in India, at CLRA 39B, Nandanam, Cheppil Lane, Mancaud, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695009. You can reach us at vineethgopa@gmail.com.
By creating an account or using Weekend you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Weekend.
2. Who can use Weekend
- You must be at least 18 years old. Weekend puts members in touch with people they have not met, so this is not negotiable.
- You must be able to form a binding contract under Indian law, and not be barred from using Weekend by law or by a previous removal from Weekend.
- One account per person. Your account is personal: do not share it, sell it or let anyone else use it.
- The details you give must be true. Your date of birth and gender are set once, when you join, because they decide who can join age- and gender-limited Tag Along outings. If one is wrong, contact us to correct it.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and your codes to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, or without the app. What deletion removes, and the little it keeps, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
4. What Weekend does
Weekend helps groups decide what to do together. You swipe on places and events; your interest is shared with the circles you belong to (friends, family or your partner); when enough of a circle is interested it becomes a plan the circle can agree a time for, lock in and book. Tag Along lets you post, or ask to join, an outing with people you do not know. Members can also host private hangouts for their circles and, with Weekend Club, public events.
- Weekend does not sell tickets or take bookings. When you book with a venue, organiser or booking site, that is an agreement between you and them, on their terms. We are not responsible for their services, prices, cancellations or refunds.
- Listing details — opening hours, prices, photos — are provided in good faith but may be out of date. Check with the venue before you go.
5. Meeting people, and your safety
- You are responsible for your own safety when you meet anyone through Weekend. We do not run criminal background checks on members, and we cannot guarantee that anyone is who they say they are, even with a “Verified” badge.
- Read and follow our safety tips: meet in public, tell a friend where you are going, arrange your own travel, keep chatting in the group until you meet, and leave whenever you want.
- In an emergency, call 112. Then tell us, so we can act on the account.
- Tag Along and public events are for verified members. Verification means our team has checked that a live selfie matches the member’s profile photo. It is not an identity or background check. Changing your profile photo removes the badge until you verify again.
- Your interactions with other members, online and in person, are your own. To the extent the law allows, Weekend is not liable for the conduct of any member.
6. Community rules
We have zero tolerance for the following, on your profile, in chats, in posts, in events and in photos:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or intimidation, including continuing to contact someone who has blocked you or asked you to stop.
- Hate speech, or attacking anyone for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality.
- Sexual content, nudity, or sexual solicitation. Weekend is not a dating or hook-up service.
- Anything involving, or appealing to, people under 18.
- Violence, or encouraging self-harm or harm to others.
- Scams, spam, fake events, selling, advertising, or collecting money from other members.
- Pretending to be someone else, or misrepresenting your age or gender.
- Sharing anyone’s private information — their number, address, photos — without their permission.
- Anything illegal, including the sale of drugs or weapons.
Posts, messages, profiles and events are checked automatically for wording that breaks these rules, and for contact details in posts and profiles. Text that fails is refused or removed, and may be reviewed by our team.
Women-only and age-limited Tag Along outings are a safety feature and are permitted. They are not discrimination under these Terms.
7. What you share
- You keep ownership of what you post: your profile, messages, photos, posts and events (“your content”).
- You give Weekend a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize) and share your content for the purpose of running and promoting Weekend. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already received (such as messages in a chat) and copies we must keep by law.
- Photos of a place. When you add a photo of a venue after an outing, you let Weekend show it on that venue’s listing, credited to your username, even after you delete your account unless you ask us to remove it. We review every photo before it appears.
- Only post what is yours. Do not post photos or text you did not create or do not have permission to use — including photos copied from a venue’s website, Instagram or Google. Try not to include people who have not agreed to be in your photo.
- We may review, refuse or remove any content, for any reason consistent with these Terms or the law.
8. Photos on listings
Listing photos are our own, provided by the venue with its permission, contributed by members who went, or freely licensed from Wikimedia Commons. Freely licensed photos are shown with their author and licence, as their licences require. If you believe a photo on Weekend infringes your rights, contact the Grievance Officer (section 16) and we will take it down while we look into it.
9. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
- You can report or block any member from their message, post or request. They are not told who reported or blocked them.
- We review reports and may, with or without notice: remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently remove an account, and where the law requires, share information with the authorities.
- If we remove your account, you may not create another without our permission.
10. Weekend Club
- Weekend Club gives higher limits — more circles, bigger circles, and hosting public events. It is currently free: joining gives you one month, which you can renew by joining again.
- We may change what the Club includes, or start charging for it. If we do, the price and terms will be shown to you before you pay, and payment will be taken through Google Play or the App Store under their terms. Nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.
11. Other services
Weekend uses and links to services run by others — for example Google Maps, and venues’ own websites and booking pages. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
12. Weekend’s own content
The Weekend name, logo, app and website, and everything in them other than members’ content and third-party material, belong to us. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell any part of Weekend, or use automated means to access it.
13. Disclaimers and liability
- Weekend is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan, outing or member will meet your expectations.
- To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Weekend is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss arising from other members’ conduct, from venues or organisers, or from events you attend.
- Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, while Weekend Club is free, is nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
- You agree to compensate Weekend for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of Weekend.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Weekend after that means you accept the new Terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.
15. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Before going to court, please contact us — most things can be sorted out quickly.
16. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, complaints about content or conduct on Weekend can be sent to our Grievance Officer:
